Life beyond earth is simply improbable for many scientists but is entirely possible for many others including us, so its really 50-50 battle out there with no one being able to produce any proofs for their argument, though the non- believers have an upper hand, due to their small numbers and our ever dominating imagination they are quite often ignored. Well lets look at the facts from a neutral point of view, first, all living organisms need a stable place to survive well the first and the important problem starts here, even with our most advanced telescopes and technology even till today we know only of just 9 planets and you know what those are, they are our own members of the solar system, with Pluto gone we only know eight, we have no knowledge about any proper planet other than those in our own solar system.

So our search is really confined to just eight, and we clearly know that there are no intelligent forms of life in any of them. Second even if there are any sorts of living creatures in there they might all be frozen or would have gone extinct a long time ago. So it’s really no use searching for them here. So let’s look in our own imaginative way, say somewhere in the universe somehow planets exist and intelligent life forms live in it, we will still never be able to contact them or go and pay them a friendly visit, cause some intelligent fellow has calculated that the average distance between two planets having intelligent life form or any life form for that matter would be 200 light years, so just really forget it we will never be able travel at the speed of light, even if we did we won’t be able bear it, even if we did somehow bear no one can possibly live for 200 years!.

So the only way we would ever be able to intelligent life forms is when they come in a spaceship and try to destroy earth as they show in movies. But if they are only evolving from bacteria now forget that idea too. So to conclude the only possible life forms that can be beyond earth are the micro organisms which are by no means friendly or visible either, so instead of spending billions of dollars searching it’s better to just be happy with all those at our own home ‘Earth’.

Well it was more like a recruitment drive for a spy, sort of at least, as usual I was kicked out of my old job and was again searching for a new one, which was when I came over an extremely vague ad on the newspaper just stating one line ‘employee needed’ well that sure interested me, and applied for it, and surprisingly enough I was visited by a man next day and was handed a bit note stating ‘meet us at so and so’ instead of a formal letter. But who cares I lifted my head to say ok to that guy but before I can do that he was gone (strange). Well finally the day arrived and visited that extremely vague company whose full name is ‘General Incorporated Business Solutions’.

At the offices I was met by a rather stocky ‘army major’ type who introduced himself and called me by my name even before I could say anything, and then showed a short introductory video all about the company, I think featured a cartoon man with a moustache, explaining the benefits of something called ‘secondary Rhombic Thinking’ (whatever that meant) but I noticed a series of other things I noticed, first there were only three co-interviewees with me, second everyone was observing me instead of watching the video. Then I was handed a form and was asked to fill in, it was ‘an aptitude test’.

The questions were baffling: ‘have you ever played tennis professionally?’, ‘do you wear a watch….?’ I tried my hardest to give the type of answer they might be looking for but it was impossible to work out what that might be, one part of the test required me to draw a tortoise, for which colored pencils were supplied. After I had finished, he took my paper and asked me to wait for 15 minutes. Then a different man called ‘Morris’ (first name? last name?) came in to the room, and with a completely blank face said, “Congratulations, you’ve got through to the next stage, we will be contacting you with the details.’ And literally pushed me out of the office and went back inside. When I left I realized I had forgotten to ask one very important question: ‘what is the job’.
